Red Wine on the Seine River

One bottle of merlot, one fresh baguette, some delicious chèvre (goat cheese) and jambon serrano (thin sliced ham) makes for a romantic sunset on Pont Neuf. A picnic in Paris along the Seine River... Could it get any better than this?

There are so many people outside enjoying the evening- everyone with their beverage of choice (public open container is legal in France), tasty snacks and an unbeatable view with your feet dangling over the water. The sun sets around 9 pm, and once our merlot was properly enjoyed we walked further along the river to watch the Eiffel Tower glitter and twinkle at the top of the hour, 10 pm.

A cliché Parisian evening for two!
